Wetland Health

  • River red gum watering trial project at Riversleigh Lagoon RWLAP monitored the health of stressed river red gums that had been watered using donated excess irrigation water.
  • Organise and co-ordinate ongoing community education and consultation through public and community group meetings.
  • Organise training workshops for community groups to enhance their skills.
  • Develop Water Management Plan.


Weir Pool Manipulation Strategy

RWLAP engaged community representatives to comprise a steering committee to develop this strategy.

Murbpook Lagoon Wetland Rehabilitation Project

  • Formed Murbpook Lagoon Flood plain Group.
  • Developed a Wetland Management Plan.
  • Installation of box culvert to enable hydrological management.
